摘要
Most of the jacket platforms in Malaysia have exceeded their design life with many structural irregularities. The structure has potential parted due to exposure to an environmental condition for an extended period. The corrective maintenance work is costly and require a very time-consuming process. Thus, the study herein aimed to review the application of QRA with continuous improvement procedure for parted and damaged structures, i.e. a case study of managing risk for the parted conductor. This study focuses on the risk become a potential hazard (i.e., dropped object) to the diver during an underwater inspection campaign. In addition, site monitoring information is considered for validation purposes. The result demonstrated that 'do nothing' is the best approach with evaluation and mitigation act. Moreover, results indicated that managing the risk with the qualitative and quantitative approach as alternative methods, especially in the energy sector and specifically in oil and gas.
