摘要
Neurobiopsy allows the neurosurgeon to access regions in the brain to determine the nature of ongoing neurologic processes. Initially, brain biopsies were performed freehand until the development of stereotactic technique using CT or MR imaging. More recently, neuronavigation has been combined with frameless stereotaxy to perform neurobiopsy. Intraoperative MR imaging now is available at some centers and allows for brain biopsy with near real-time imaging. Interventional MR-guided neurobiopsy represents a natural progression from previous to surgical techniques.
