摘要：

In this article, we introduce a new iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of fixed points for a continuous pseudo-contractive mapping and the solution set of a variational inequality problem governed by continuous monotone mappings. Strong convergence for the proposed iterative scheme is proved. Our results improve and extend some recent results in the literature. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 46C05; 47H09; 47H10.
