We report on recent developments of an optical focussing system for a Detection of Internally Reflected Cherenkov light. We attempt to optimize the Cherenkov ring image to match the size constraints of a new generation of micro-avalanche photodiodes. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
