摘要：
English Linguistics is a required course for English majors. Due to its dull, abstract and theoretical features, it is hard for students to master it thoroughly. To solve this problem, the design and construction of a teaching model based on schema theory is proposed, and then it is applied to linguistic study of English major students. Performance analysis shows that there is a significant difference in the final exam between the proposed model and the traditional teaching model.
