Identifying and Improving Core Competitiveness of Mountain Tourism Scenic Area: A Case Study of Mt. Lushan

摘要
At present, with the fast development of Chinese tourism industry, the tourism scenic area faced more serious competition than before, tourism scenic area is necessary to cultivate own core competitiveness for creating long-term competitive advantage. This paper analyzed the connotation of core competence of tourism scenic area, then the author proposed the identifying and improving approach of core competitiveness of mountain tourism scenic area and. carried out empirical study of Mt. Lushan. The result of empirical study described that core competences of Mt. Lushan scenic area include capability of natural resources development, cultural resources development, ecological protection and management of scenic area residents. Finally, this paper offered some recommendations for Mt. Lushan based on its improving of existing and potential core competitiveness.
