摘要
co The purpose of this research is to analyze the intended meaning of tasks involving statistical graphs in mathematics textbooks of Primary Education in Mexico. For this purpose, theoretical and meth-odological elements of the Ontosemiotic Approach (OSA) are used, specifically, two analysis levels for mathematical activity: 1) phenomenological-anthropological and 2) ontosemiotic, which allow the study of the primary objects involved in the tasks. The results indicate that four types of problem situations are presented in the textbooks: 1) translating statistical tables into statistical graphs; 2) reading data in sta-tistical graphs; 3) reading within the data in statistical graphs; and 4) reading beyond the data in statistical graphs. This research contributes to the planning and task designing of pre-service and in-service teach-ers of Elementary Education for approaching statistical graphs.
