A device able to address a train of equally spaced pulses between two or more outputs, according to the value of the relative phase of the first pulse with respect to the others, is presented. The device acts as an all-optical router and it is based on the properties of a soliton beam in a transverse refractive index profile. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
