摘要：
An analysis procedure for calculating displacement of a landslide is presented. The proposed procedure is based on continuum-mechanics principles and can be used to calculate: (a) factor-of-safety against the onset of failure, and (b) potential displacements of the slide mass after the onset of failure. The proposed procedure is used to calculate displacements of a landslide in the hills surrounding a reservoir. The calculated displacements compare favorably with the field measurements.
