摘要
A new niobium cluster compound, [Al(CH3CN)(5)Br][(Nb6Cl12Br6a)-Br-i]center dot 3CH(3)CN was synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. Crystals of this cluster compound have triclinic symmetry with a = 8.8759(7), b = 12.300(1), c = 12.585(1) , alpha = 83.240(4), beta = 71.231(4), and gamma = 72.474(4)A degrees. In this compound the charge of the mixed halide cluster anion, [(Nb6Cl12Br6a)-Br-i](2-), is compensated by that of the heteroleptic [Al(CH3CN)(5)Br](2+) complex cation, which has close to C-4v symmetry. This complex cation can be considered as rather uncommon, since before only two compounds were known, which contain the chlorido analogue.
