摘要
This paper presents control schemes for efficient operation of renewable energy based islanded microgrid integrated with Energy Storage System (ESS) and diesel generator as a backup source. In the proposed control algorithm, ESS and diesel generator are operated in various control modes based on the state of charge (SOC) level of the battery ESS. The ESS system is categorized into three states as normal, warning and critical based on the SOC level. During the normal state, ESS system is operated as the main source while in the warning state it will operate along with diesel generator in peer to peer mode and in the critical state diesel generator operates as the main source to regulate the islanded microgrid. The detailed model of the islanded microgrid system is developed in MATLAB/Simulin (TM), and the simulation results of the operation of the system in various modes and transition between them are presented in the paper.
