摘要
We investigate the condensation mechanism due to phase change on a pillar arrays of a liquid-impregnated surface using a phase-field lattice Boltzmann method. In addition to the solid substrate, the system consists of three immiscible fluids, two of which undergo phase change. The contact line motion over the rough structures shows a three-stage behavior: sticking to the top-corner of a post, jumping from one post to another, and slipping over the top of a post. As the volume of the condensed droplet increases, this periodic behavior, i.e., stick-jump-slip, happens faster. This work provides a better understanding of the flow dynamics on liquid-impregnated surfaces.
