摘要
Energy crisis's due to the depletion of fossil fuel and need of pollution free environment has leaded the world automobile technology to switch over to electrical propulsion system in place of gasoline engine in vehicles. Use of multiphase induction motors as the propulsion drive is the powerful solution for electric vehicle where the overall high system reliability and power distribution per phase are required. In this paper real time simulation study of five phase induction motor drive with rapid control prototyping using RT-Lab for an auto rickshaw is performed. The aim of this work is to setup a test bench to achieve fully decoupled current control in both constant toque and power region using indirect vector control method in flux weakening region for multiphase induction motor. The FPGA based xc3s5000 controller is used as core of Rapid control Prototyping (RCP) system.
