Analysis of the Legal Language Defects in the Law of Road Traffic Safety of the People's Republic of China

摘要：
Legal language is a special kind of language, not only with the request of being precise, but also with presence of accuracy. Yet, there are some defining vagueness of the term "road" and ambiguous expressions, including "overseas", "temporary parking", and "city road", in the Law of the People's Republic of China on Road Traffic Safety. Similar problems exist with the contradictions in language, misuse of words and wrong syntax in the definition of "motor vehicle", "non-motor vehicle" and "traffic accident". This paper analyzes the problems and puts forward some suggestions for improvement.
