摘要
The higher demand for customer-oriented products and services of recent years has led engineering companies to reconsider their strategy to ensure competitive advantages. Thus, mainly product-centric providers are transitioning to more service and solution-oriented providers. Named service transition, also known as servitization, has forced and is currently forcing companies to adapt, restructure and redefine business models which has an impact on internal as well as external processes. This paper examined the current state of literature regarding changes in the organizational structure of manufacturing companies. Its aim was to provide an overview by synthesizing 15 relevant articles. Furthermore, we systematically identified recurrent categories of changes in organizational structures.
