The effect of calcium (Ca2+) induced externalization of ankyrin and phosphatidylserine on the viscoelasticity of human red blood cells measured by jumping optical tweezers

摘要
We trapped and stretched individual human red blood cells via jumping optical tweezers to demonstrate that calciwn (Ca2+) induced externalization of ankyrin and phosphatidylserine increased their Young's modulus by 38% and viscosity by 25%.
