摘要
Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta are China's three City Concentrated Areas, or CCAs, whose intercity transportation demands are also the greatest. To meet the great intercity transportation demands, many expressways, high-speed railways and intercity railways are being constructed or planned on the major corridors such as Beijing-Tianjin, Shanghai-Nanjing and Guangzhou-Shenzhen, etc. This paper studies three intercity corridors' transportation characteristics, analyses the planning and technical-economic advantages of expressway and railway, forecasts the passenger and freight volumes in the future, and also gives proposals for intercity transport development on intercity corridors.
