摘要
Quality and a variety of instructional services are in demand at all educational environments in contemporary society today. Therefore, faculty members must make an effort to continue to update and renew their ability to deliver diverse means of instructional services to meet the needs of students face-to-face and online. Committed faculty members need to continue to seek ways to meet the differentiated needs of students timely and conveniently. The prevailing thoughts should be "how can faculty members meet" the diverse needs of students so that students' gained educational skills and knowledge in order to be globally competitive. By providing instructional services online, faculty members are able to meet the needs of more students in volume than in the traditional classroom setting. Through best practices facilitated by the online faculty member should help to provide ways to satisfy teaching and learning needs of students. This research will present twelve best practices and ways to be an effective online faculty. Emphases will be placed on the effectiveness, again, of the quality of faculty members, collaboration in goal setting, multiple teaching modalities, being reflective, behavior of faculty, self-evaluation, needs and outcomes, global perspective, feedback, evaluation, accountability and measuring student learning.
