摘要
This article deals with pyrolysis of agricultural residues such as wheat straw, corncob, corn stover tobacco stalk, tobacco leave, olive waste, walnut shell, and almond shell at high temperature (800-1000degreesC) in a free fall reactor The amount of gaseous phase increases with increasing the pyrolysis temperature. The higher treatment temperature has led to lower yields of tar and more tar cracking, leading to higher yields of gaseous products. Higher treatment temperatures favor cracking of the hydrocarbons in the gaseous products and, thus, increase the yield of hydrogen. Higher temperature has also decreased the content of CO2 in the gases and increased the CO content for the agricultural residues.
