摘要：

Authors in the article analyse adopted models of the Armed Forces and Ministries of Defence of the Slovak and the Czech Republic development and modernization, and simultaneously, compare the planned defence expenditures according to the mentioned models for the fulfilment of government-appointed tasks, international commitments, mission, vision and goals of both Ministries and the Armed Forces to really earmarked financial resources. Authors deduce conclusion for defence of both countries and their contribution to block defence in term of the NATO.
