摘要
This paper presents an implementation idea of home automation system that uses Wi-Fi. It is concerned with the automatic control of home appliances like fan, tube light, television, etc. using internet which means saving electric power and human energy. The home automation system consist of two parts central web server which communicates with single board computer (Raspberry Pi) and provides On/Off status of electronic home appliance and second part is single board computer which monitors and controls the electronic home appliance through relay switch. Information exchange format between central web server and single board computer is XML based.
