An effective method is proposed for numerical calculation of the absorption line shapes of molecular aggregates with diagonal disorder. The absorption intensity is expressed as a resolvent of aggregate Hamiltonian and then fluctuations of average transition energy in aggregate are separated from the relative energy fluctuations.
