An Empirical Study on the Effect of Technological Innovation on the Income Disparity in China: Based on Empirical Data

摘要
Based on the historical data of 30 provinces in China from 1997 to 2012, we calculated the four major regional Theil indexes of income disparity. Also, we established a panel model to figure out the relationship between the technological innovation and the income disparity. The results showed that there was a significant nonlinear relationship between technology innovation level and the income disparity, in line with Kuznets's Inverted-U curve.
