摘要
The main purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the project called AIKOKO - the Coordination of Adult Education in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The project is a part of the development work that has been done in the context of the FUAS alliance. FUAS (Federation of Universities of Applied Sciences) came out of a partnership between H me, Lahti and Laurea Universities of Applied Sciences. The aim of the project is to develop a common proactive model for adult education services at the Universities of Applied Sciences in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The project comprises all the adult education activities of the Universities of Applied Sciences (degree education, Open UAS studies, further education and specialization studies). The focus of the project is a customer (an adult) and her/his needs for and demands on adult education services. The project started at the beginning of 2011 and will end in December 2012. It has been financed by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland.
