摘要：
The paper specifies the main tasks which the State has set for forest management planning and emphasises the importance of professional and reliable execution of these tasks for the development of the State Forests. Using examples, it shows the crucial contribution of forest management planning to the undertakings critical for the fulfilment of the State Forests' legal and statutory mission in line with biodiversity requirements, the principle of forest sustainability and forest resource utilization continuity, as well as nature conservation requirements contemporarily known as sustainable forest management.
