Basic thermodynamic data on the effect of the conditions of steam reforming of ethanol as a prospective method for the production of hydrogen from renewable raw material on the equilibrium yield of hydrogen and the concentration of the components of the reaction mixture are presented. Features of the catalytic action of a series of deposited metals and oxide systems are examined. Catalysts with which high yields of hydrogen (not less than 85%) are achieved are highlighted.
