As a result of the implementation of the European Higher Education Area there are emerging new areas of reflection on the role to be played by members of the educational process (teachers, students, researchers ...) that transcends the model traditionally assumed. Proof of this is the emergence of a new model of teaching and learning, which involves the development of new roles and tasks for faculty. For that from different universities are developing courses and initiatives to facilitate and help teachers to successfully meet that change. The University of Huelva has launched a Master on university teaching, aimed at all teachers who exercises his teaching in any department, and especially to all new teachers. This paper describes the issue of training novel teacher at college level and in particular the key role of this mentoring process. For this, we have focused on the description of the Master of University teaching offered at the University of Huelva, and the experiment carried out between a mentor and mentee during the 2010-2011 academic year.
