摘要
Hydrology is a physical subject on researching the water body and the interaction between rivers and lakes. Hydrology and water resources monitoring is the basis of the research. Through measuring, calculating and data processing its characteristic and interrelation get confirmed, which will benefit the social and economical development. The hydrology and water resources of the Yellow River are mainly characterized with less water, high sediment content, different sources of water and sediment and uneven temporal and special distribution. The content of hydrology and water resources monitoring system of the Yellow River includes the design and layout of the network, the collection and processing of hydrological data, monitoring of water quality and quantity, and observation of river channel, reservoir and river mouth in the seashore region.
