Fluorescent Property and Magnetic Property of V3O7•H2O Nanobelts

摘要
Optical and magnetic properties of the V3O7 center dot H2O nanobelts are investigated, which are synthesized via a hydrothermal route. The V3O7 center dot H2O nanobelts are characterized by X-ray diffraction, sanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and XPS. It is found that the product is of orthorhombic phase and single crystalline nanobelts with width of 200-400 nm and length up to 30 mu m. The photoluminescence spectrum, UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectrum and fluorescent microscopic image are used to investigate the optical properties. The magnetic properties of the V3O7 center dot H2O nanobelts disagree with the reports in previous literatures. In order to explain this abnormal phenomenon, we make some theoretical calculations using VASP, and the results indicate that the magnetic property is attributed to oxygen vacancies in the V3O7 center dot H2O crystals.
