摘要
The influence of a local external DC-electric held on the magnetic configuration in the vicinity of a planar current sheet, and the distortion of this configuration by the development of anomalous plasma resistivity in the current sheet, are investigated using a 2D kinematic approach. The finite plasma electric conductivity is taken into account. Similar processes can occur in heliospheric current sheets, and they may be possible causes of the B-z component of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF).
