摘要
The logarithmic divergence of the static propagator suppresses fluctuations of the dilaton in 2 + 1 dimensions. Witten's conjecture that duality between theories in three and four dimensions solves the cosmological constant problem thus may also imply a solution to the dilaton problem in string theory.
