Sensing of wood density by laser light scattering pattern and diffractive optical element based sensor

摘要
The scattering, pattern of laser light is used in the optical sensing, of wood density. The shape of the scattering pattern is observed to correlate with the density of 400 mu m thick wood slices. Also a diffractive optical element based sensor is used in for determination of the density of 400 mu m thick wood samples. A comparison of these measurement techniques is given.
