摘要
Image retrieval based on vector quantization (VQ) is a content-based image retrieval that we have proposed recently, However, it is noted that a potential problem of the proposed method is that it may be not robust in the sense that its performance may be sensitive to small changes in images. This paper investigates if this is a problem in practical image retrieval systems. Our experimental results and analysis show that image retrieval based on VQ is robust.
