摘要
The limited electronic servo capability makes mechanical antenna weather radar incapable of effectively monitoring severe weather (rainstorm, tornado, hail, etc.). Phased array antenna radaris featured by beamagility, multi-beam and inertialess direction.During meteorology object observation, ground-based weather radar is vulnerable to the interference from strong electromagnetic fields on the ground, thus leading to poor data confidence. Compared with ground-based weather radar, airborne weather radar enjoys less electromagnetic interference, more visual angles, faster movement, etc. Hence, the beneficial combination of phased array antenna and airborne platform provides a new idea and method for the scientific research of meteorology object observation.
