摘要：
In this paper the same slope forecasting model is tested on real time series and compared with corresponding performances of fifteen exponential smoothing models. Tests are conducted using time series with different components, while standard deviation is used to measure the suitability of the model. Nonlinear programming is used for the estimation of parameters of the same slope forecasting model and exponential smoothing forecasting models. Developed model shows very good forecast results when trend component dominates.
