摘要：
The centrosymmetric title compound, [Cu(C7H8O3S)(2)(H2O)(4)], forms a pillared hydrogen-bonded layered network. The coordination geometry of the Cu-II ion is distorted octahedral, involving four aqua ligands and two N-atom donors of two 2-(4- pyridyl) ethanesulfonate (PES) ligands. The sulfonate group of PES is not involved in coordination to the metal, but participates in hydrogen bonds with the aqua ligands.
