摘要
Introduction: Department of Histology and Embryology of (1)Faculty of Medical Sciences, National University of Cordoba (ARGENTINA) has developed a novel tool for teaching morphological sciences consisting of histology, embryology & cell biology. Purpose: Describing the experience of online free virtual laboratory. Material and Methods: This virtual laboratory combines lectures and tutorials with interactive specimens including 3-dimensional pathology slides, radiological imaging & evolving assessments. Results: An initial evaluation suggests a cohort of health science students actively engaged with the online virtual laboratory. A significant majority reported using the tool as their principle learning resource. Conclusions: The online virtual laboratory exemplifies a simple, quick, and inexpensive model for supplementing education of health science students worldwide (currently in collaboration with South America & the United Kingdom).
