摘要
The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a promising metalanguage to describe the content of Web documents. It is a powerful and flexible language to define data formats in electronic commerce (e-commerce) frameworks. This paper reviews some of the prominent XML-based e-commerce frameworks, including XML/EDI, BizTalk, ebXML, and eCo. The XML/EDI is a combination of XML with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for processing documents and exchanging transactions. The BizTalk is an XML framework to foster application integration and efficient e-commerce. The ebXML is a modular and complete suite of specifications to enable an electronic business framework, which uses XML for exchanging business messages over the Internet. The eCo is an extensible object-oriented framework for interoperability among XML-based application standards and key e-commerce environments.
