A Research on Spiritual Motivation for Private Managers: Based on Survey of 203 Private Enterprises in Zhejiang Province of China

摘要
Based on a Survey of the middle and top managers in 203 private enterprises, the paper from the comparison of the collected data finds Out that the private operators are almost satisfied with the sense of belonging and identification, and the overall effect of spiritual drive mechanism in non-family enterprises is better than that in family business. In family enterprises, the effect of drive mechanism for family members is better than for non-members. Meanwhile, the non-family members have lower appraise of the equality. The paper proposes suggestions: to take stock ownership as motivations to enhance the performance of workers, to improve the governance mechanism of private enterprises, and to attach importance to non-family operators' view in the major decisions. Moreover, non-family operators should improve the professional ethics and the owners should enhance the trust of personality and abilities towards professional managers.
