摘要
The goal of the paper is to evaluate current development of the economic indicators-social quota and social budget in selected countries, as well as to evaluate converging or diverging tendencies and consequences on socio-economic systems. The study is done based on theoretical and practical knowledge. In terms of theoretical resources, for research we deliberately chose countries representing models of social politics and Slovakia. The methods used in this study are in most cases observations, comparisons, analyses, syntheses and mathematical or statistical methods. For better interpretation, all the results were recorded in charts and graphs. During data analysis and data interpretation of individual variables we encountererd inconsistancies in data and different data collection methods and that is why there might be some slight deviation in the results. Based on the study results, we consider Slovakia to be a country with lower level of social protection, where solidarity dominates over credibility, what can evoke pasivity in some people. For improvement, we suggest change in job market conditions, legislative changes and also implementation and maintenance of long term strategic procedures in the sphere of social politics.
