摘要
The origin of variabilities in quasars can be superpositions of flares on the central engine, i.e., accretion disk. Due to the extremely small angular size of the accretion disk, we cannot directly resolve the locations of such flares by using current observational instruments. In the case of gravitationally lensed quasar, however, such fine resolution will be achievable without imaging observations, but with photometric observations.
