Chain motions of alternating ethylene/propylene copolymers studied solid-state 2H NMR

摘要
The chain motions of two deuterated alternating ethylene-propylene (EP) copolymers were investigated by solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements. The effect of the branched side group on the molecular motion of the main chain was also evaluated. The branched side chain group influenced the crystallinity and glass transition temperature of the elastomers affecting the motion of the main chain. For linear copolymer reorientation motion of main chain segments occured at temperature below 40°C.
