Progress in insulation diagnostic techniques for power apparatus

摘要
Diagnosing the insulation state of power equipment is important not only in its service in the field but also in the factory tests. Recently, many techniques have been proposed for this purpose. Particularly, a remarkable progresses are being made in the deciphering the PD(partial discharge) data, using sophisticated information tools such a as digital signal processing techniques and computers. This is a very brief review of the diagnostic techniques for electric power apparatus such as rotating machines, transformers and GIS.
