摘要：

This paper examines the dependence of economic growth on export openness and other macroeconomic variables in a broad sample of countries in the 1990s. We observe that highly open economies really tended to grow rapidly on average. We also find that economic growth was positively associated with the investment-output ratio and unrelated to the current-account ratio, the growth of money, the initial human capital, and the initial output per capita.
