Comparison and Inspiration of Chinese and Foreign Enterprises' Environmental Performance Evaluation

At present, China experiences rapid economic development and also faces increasingly serious environmental problems. Enterprises are the main bodies of the micro-economic operations. They are also the main bodies of environmental problems. Therefore, designing a corporate environmental performance evaluation system which makes the incentives compatible with constraints is of great significance in encouraging enterprises to improve their environmental performance. This paper discusses the environmental performance evaluation criteria which may have a great influence on corporate development internationally. The authors expect to build specific enterprise environmental performance evaluation system with Chinese characteristics.
