摘要
A new potential allelochemical 1 m.f. C33H40O21,m.P.244-246 degrees C, [M+] 772 has been isolated from methanolic extract of the roots of Lagascea mollis Cay. along with two known compounds. The structure of new allelochemical has been characterized as 5,7,3'5' -tetra hydroxy 3-methoxy flavone-7-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl-(1 -> 4)-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-5'-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranoside 1 along with two known compounds Genkwanin 2 and Acacetin 3 by various chemical degradations, colour reactions and spectral analysis. In the present paper, antioxidant activity of compound 1 was carried out by DPPH radical scavenging method. The results obtained from experimental finding showed that this compound may be used as antioxidants agent.
