Complications of posterior cranial fossa decompression for Chiari malformations are uncommon. We present three patients who developed infratentorial supracerebellar hygromas causing acute hydrocephalus after posterior cranial fossa decompression. Copyright (C) 2002 S. Karger AG, Basel.
