Die intermittierende pneumatische Kompression (IPC) simuliert die Wadenmuskelpumpe und war Studien zufolge bei postoperativen Patienten eine effektive Thrombose- prophylaxe. CLOTS 3 bestatigte dies nun fur Patienten im akuten Schlaganfall: Thromboembolische Ereignisse waren signifikant seltener. <break></break>Lancet 2013; 382: 516-524
