摘要
In this study, in vitro antibacterial effect of 16 different types of Chinese herbal medicine against Aeromonas hydrophila was evaluated. The boiling method was used to extract the bioactive ingredients from the herbal plants. The agar diffusion method was used to measure the zone of inhibition of gall, coptis, rhubarb, terminalia and other Chinese herbal medicine against Aeromonas hydrophila. The double tube dilution method was used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC). Our results showed that different types of Chinese herbal medicine had different antibacterial effect against Aeromonas hydrophila. The water extract from gall, coptis, terminalia, rhubarb had stronger antibacterial effect, with their MIC values being 7.81 mg/mL, 15.63mg/mL, 31.25 mg/mL, 62.50 ing/mL, respectively. The MBC values of gall, coptis, terminalia, rhubarb were 15.63 mg/mL, 62.50 mg/mL, 62.50 mg/mL, 125.00 mg/mL, respectively. Next, we mixed gall extract individually with either terminalia, coptis, or rhubarb, and tested the MIC and MBC of the mixed extract. The MIC values of galls+terminalia, galls+coptis, galls+rhubarb were 3.906 mg/mL, 7.813 mg/mL, 15.625 mg/mL, respectively. The MBC values of galls+terminalia, galls+coptis, galls+rhubarb were 3.906 ing/mL, 7.813 mg/mL, 15.625 mg/mL, respectively. The in vitro antibacterial and bactericidal effect of the mixed compound were stronger than the 16 individual Chinese herbal medicine that.
