摘要
The alpha-decay half-life in a nuclear reaction is mainly affected by the penetration probability, which itself depends on the choice of the barrier potential. Here, we propose a new barrier potential to investigate the alpha-decay half-lives in the even-even nuclei from Po-178 to U-238. The obtained results are motivating. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V.
